Breathing new life into spiritual formation in Uganda and Zimbabwe

New approaches to formation training give religious vocations a more modern foundation.

The Catholic Church is a primary service provider in some of Africa's poorest regions. This means religious men and women are in the front line dealing with severe adversity. To successfully address the needs of these societies, their training must be contemporary and holistic, striking a balance between theology, spirituality and human development.

In Uganda and Zimbabwe, we support a programme which is reimagining the formation of religious people within the Church. In collaboration with national religious associations, we will help at least 8,000 devotees to truly deliver on Christ's mission of service to the poor, the pursuit of justice and pastoral care.
